Late this summer in Malta, we had the chance to spend four days with one of the most creative, warm-hearted, and boldest men we have encountered: Frederick Lau.
Through late-night conversations ranging from cigarettes, the concept of freedom to quantum physics, Freddy shared his take on life. In it, we can achieve something extraordinary, not by chasing what many strive for—like money or fame—but by tuning out the noise and trusting our talents, intuition, and the people we hold dear. For there are only two things in life: Love and damn good work.
He offered deep sympathy for how we have operated for the past seven years—not so much based on numbers or rationality, but along a path shaped by real-life experiences, inspiring characters and with a clear vision in mind: offering smokers a far less harmful yet great experience; an understated electronic cigarette that pushes technical boundaries to preserve the aesthetics of a tobacco cigarette.
During our visit we were accompanied by our photographer Hanna Desmond who did an amazing job capturing some of the moments we had. And while in Malta Freddy was intensely working on a new Netflix movie inspired by the ocean rescue organisation Jugend rettet, a movie which we are particularly excited about!
This was our first experience of the soon to be released blog series "House of Carnault". Thank you Freddy, Hanna, Mathias and Diren for an amazing time!
